Meet Our New Board Members

The Opa-locka Community Development Corporation (OLCDC) has added two new members to its Board of Directors. Ms. Charlotte Lowe and Mr. Michael Andrew Shifrin joined the board in June 2021. They join a group of 16 other community members who lend their time and expertise on a voluntary basis to help guide and advance the OLCDC mission. Charlotte LoweCharlotte Lowe is the Director of the EF International Language Campus in Miami Beach, where she leads a team of more than 60 employees and also manages a $6M annual budget. Fluent in English, Swedish and Portuguese, Charlotte’s career boasts a variety of international business experience. She holds an Associate of Arts degree from Santa Monica College in Los Angeles and a Business degree from the University of Stockholm in Sweden. Charlotte brings her passion for education, art, and community to the OLCDC board, along with her keen business acumen. Michael Andrew ShifrinMichael is a principal attorney at Bressler, Amery, Ross, P.C., in Miami, Florida, where he serves in the firm’s Insurance and Cannibus practice groups. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida, and a Juris Doctorate degree from Florida International University.Michael is a highly lauded attorney, having been recognized earlier this year as one of Super Lawyers 2021 “Rising Stars”. In addition to his professional excellence, Michael is also a skilled rescue diver with five specialty scuba certifications and an expert snow skier. He brings his insight into the real estate, insurance, and legal industries to the OLCDC Board.
